Purrs of Hope Rescue has a mission to rescue and save homeless cats and kittens that have become strays or unwanted by no choice of their own. We also pull cats from high kill shelters. We provide them with vet care to improve their health, giving them a better quality of life, and the love they deserve. All of our cats/kittens are fostered out of our homes until adopted out to their fur-ever homes. We also participate in TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cats in our community. TNR humanely manages feral and free roaming cats, while preventing the cats from breeding, becoming over populated, and improves their quality of life. They are spayed/neutered and vaccinated, then returned back to their homes or relocated if necessary.
We are dedicated to rescuing our feline friends. There are hundreds of stray, feral, and abandoned cats in our community that need our help and to be their voice.
Purrs of Hope Rescue is a no-kill organization. Once a cat comes into our rescue, it will remain there until adopted or appropriate long term foster is found. All cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, combo tested for feline leukemia/feline aids virus, given age appropriate vaccinations, wormed, and flea treated.
We are dedicated to educating the public on the importance to spay and neuter their animals. We partner with other local non-profit organizations to reach our mission to sterilize cats/kittens by assisting the public in transporting their cats to low cost spay/neuter clinics. Our goal is to make a great impact on the over population of cats in our surrounding area.
Purrs of Hope Rescue is a registered 501c 3 non-profit organization located in Hammond Louisiana. We depend on and are completely funded by donations. We are an all-volunteer organization. All donations are tax deductible.
